    Fabric Width Conversion Chart

    This chart determines the amount of fabric needed when the width of the fabric chosen differs from the width of fabric on the pattern envelope. It's an estimate, and doesn't include changes in fabric requirements caused by pattern alterations, large-scale fabric or garment designs, or directional fabrics. In these instances, it's best to lay out your pattern pieces before purchasing fabric.
