The raw material for these environmentally-friendly threads is provided by recycled drinks bottles made of 100 % PET (polyethylenterephtalate).
The special advantages of the sewing threads made from rPET lie in the recycled raw material.It conserves the environment and saves natural resources.
Thanks to Gutermann Micro Core Technology® environmentally-friendly sewing threads with excellent sewing properties can be produced with the existing production facilities and processes.
The reels for the sewing threads made from rPET are made of 100 % polystyrene (PS) and can be recycled, and in this way are supplied to the recycling loop.
