Product Suitability Unless otherwise stated, the following products are considered only suitable for general household / domestic use. All warranties / guarantees will become null and void should these products be used for business purposes. Availability of Goods While we endeavour to hold sufficient stocks, we do not guarantee availability of any product shown on our website. If your order has an item out of stock : the available part of your order will be dispatched by the method selected, and the remainder will be put onto back order to be dispatched when stock arrives by 1st class post. Delivery Schedule UK Mainland Normal delivery costs £2.80 - or FREE for orders over £35.00 - Your order will be sent by Royal Mail 1st class post, orders sent this way normally arrive in 2 to 5 working days - however this can vary dramatically during busy posting times, or when Royal Mail have disruption due to strikes etc. Large parcels and items such as sewing machines, overlockers, dress forms, etc are sent by Parcel Force, orders sent this way normally arrive next working day - but please note, we can only offer this service for items that are in stock (if your order is very urgent please call 01244 394099 to check availability) and orders must be placed before 2.00pm, Monday - Friday, for the parcel to be delivered on the following working day (EXCLUDES WEEKENDS AND PUBLIC HOLIDAYS) Anything ordered on a Friday afternoon or during the weekend will be processed on the following Monday (EXCLUDES PUBLIC HOLIDAYS) Horn cabinets do not apply to above options. Dressforms are only despatched to addresses in mainland UK Special courier service is only available for UK MAINLAND Unfortunately, we are unable to ship larger items such as: sewing machines, dress forms, overlockers, cabinets, etc to addresses outside of UK IMPORTANT NOTICE: Our automated system works as follows:- 1/ Place and pay for your order online. 2/ Your order will be automatically downloaded and processed. 3/ You will receive an email advising you of any additional shipping cost. 4/ If you accept the additional shipping charge, then please reply to the email advising us to proceed with your order. 5/ If you don't wish to pay the shipping cost, then reply to the email advising us of this, we will then cancel the order and refund the amount you originally paid. Tax Charges Prices shown in our online catalogue include VAT (sales tax) Business customers based outside of the UK but within the EU (VAT Registered) must submit a valid EU VAT registration number for tax exempt sales. If we find that your machine is in need of workshop attention, our free collection - repair and return facility will be quickly arranged. . Please retain the original packing materials - just incase your machine has to be returned to us. Where any extension is offered in addition to the manufacturer's normal guarantee. A written guarantee will be provided with the machine to cover the extended term. The extended term offer applies only to machines purchased via telephone mail order or online. To qualify for the extended term of guarantee, machines must be paid for in full at the point of ordering. Returns Policy 14 day money back guarantee. If for any reason you are not satisfied with a product purchased via our Online Catalogue, you may return it for a refund. This is in addition to your statutory rights as a consumer in the United Kingdom The following terms and conditions will apply: 1/ Machines Sewing Machines, Embroidery Machines, Overlockers, Dress Forms, Horn Sewing Cabinets. Are only covered by this guarantee if they were purchased for normal domestic purposes and used in a household environment. 2/ You must let us know The Customer must inform us of any intention to return the item / items within 14 days of receipt of the goods either by phone or email. Where items have arrived damaged in transit, the customer must inform us about this within 24 hours from receipt of the goods. 3/ Faulty or Damaged Goods Jaycotts will arrange collection of goods from addresses in mainland United Kingdom and pay the return carriage cost if: the item / items were found to be faulty, transit damaged or if the item was sent in error. 4/ Dislike, or unhappy with your purchase, goods ordered by mistake. With the exception of items that were delivered and found to be damaged or faulty. The customer will pay the return carriage cost if the item was ordered in error, or if the customer simply does not want the goods. Under such circumstances, where valuable items are being returned i.e. Sewing Machines, Overlockers, Cabinets, Software etc, it is advisable that customers should opt for insured shipping, as Jaycotts will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to goods returned for refund. Refunds will only be issued upon safe receipt of the goods being returned. 5/ Must be unused and in new condition. With the exception of items that were delivered and found to be damaged or faulty: Goods being returned for a refund must be unused. They must also be returned in their original packaging and in new condition. Software, Memory Cards, Design CDs must be unopened and any security seals and / or shrink-wrap must be intact. 6/Refund payments. Where payment has been made by credit / debit card, monies refunded can only be applied to the card which the customer used to make the original purchase. For security purposes, we may need to contact the customer to verify details. Under normal circumstances refunds will be credited to customers within 2 business days of returned items being safely received back at Jaycotts. 7/ Goods returned incomplete. Jaycotts will adjust the amount refunded to cover any items found to be missing from orders that have been returned. It is up to the customer to check that all accessories, notions, peripheral devices and other items such as manuals, foot controls etc that were included in the original order are not missing before being parceled up and returned. 8/ Pack Carefully Please ensure that you carefully pack any items being returned to us. As the sender; the customer is responsible for the return carriage and we will not cover the cost of goods that get damaged in transit on their way back to us. Under current EU distance selling regulations, the above returns policy is applicable only to consumers.
